Satisfy your sweet tooth at the 11th annual Yukon Chocolate Festival – Affair Extraordinaire. Slated for Saturday, February 4, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the event is a joint venture between Parks and Recreation and the Ladies Library Club.
This indulgent festival hosts over 20 chocolate booths, a silent auction, and awards for best tasting chocolate and best booth décor! Local businesses and organizations offer their favorite chocolate delicacies to those attending.
The festival takes place at the Dale Robertson Center, located at the corner of Highway 66 and Yukon Parkway (1200 Lakeshore Dr.). If you are interested in hosting a booth and offering chocolate tastes, contact Sara Schieman of the Mabel C. Fry Public Library, 354-8232, or Becky Campbell of Yukon Parks and Recreation, 350-8937.
Early-Bird adult tickets are only $12.50 each and include 10 treat samples per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Mabel C. Fry Public Library. Day-of tickets will be $15. Children’s tickets, with 7 tastes, are $10.
Proceeds from the festival benefit local park programs and events and the Mabel C. Fry Public Library.
