Yukon’s Bike to Work Hits the Streets May 18!
Once again, Yukon Parks and Recreation will be hosting a group bike ride to celebrate National Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 18.
The police-escorted ride begins in the City Hall Parking lot, 500 W. Main, at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at the Yukon Community Center (YCC). After the ride, enjoy refreshments, snacks, and door prizes at the YCC before you head into work.
“Our crowd increases annually, and we hope to have about 30 plus riders this year,” says Jan Scott, Yukon Parks and Recreation Department.
Participating in this ride is a great way to show support for a more bike friendly community and raise awareness of sharing the roads. Both adults and children are encouraged to ride in this great event.
