Yukon’s Bike to Work Hits the Streets May 17!
Once again, Yukon Parks and Recreation will be hosting a group bike ride to celebrate National Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 17.
The police-escorted ride will begin in the City Hall Parking lot, 500 W. Main, at 7:30 a.m. and commence at the Yukon Community Center. After the ride, enjoy refreshments, snacks, and door prizes at the YCC before you head into work.
“Our crowd increases annually, and we hope to have about 30 plus riders this year,” says Jan Scott, Yukon Parks and Recreation Department.
Participating in this ride is a great way to show support for a more bike-friendly community and raise awareness of sharing the roads. Both adults and children are encouraged to ride in this great event.
This ride is always a fun way to start off the morning! Please call the Parks and Recreation office at 350-8937 for more information.
