Yukon Police Department Participates in No Shave November

No Shave November

During the month of November, you may notice Yukon Police Officers with seemingly more hairy and manicured appearances.  This is because department staff and Police Officers of the Yukon Police Department are participating in No Shave November as a way to raise money and awareness for the ”Christmas with a Cop” program.  No Shave November was established to raise awareness for men’s health, and this is also the intent of the Yukon Police Department. In recognition of men’s health, the City of Yukon is holding a Men’s Health Forum, in November, for its employees.

In order to participate, each staff member has the opportunity to make a donation to the “Christmas with a Cop” program.  If a donation is made, male staff members are allowed to grow facial hair and female staff members will be allowed to paint their fingernails.

“Christmas with a Cop” is a volunteer program where police officers spend time Christmas shopping with a child in need.  The program is funded solely by donations.  If you’re interested in donating to “Christmas with a Cop,” one can be mailed or delivered to:
