Yukon Parks and Recreation Hosts Baseball and Softball Camps

Yukon Parks and Recreation hosts baseball and softball camps for youth during Spring Break.  The Camps meet March 19 though 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Baseball Camp meets at the Yukon Community Center fields.  Softball Camp meets at the Sunrise Fields.  Each camp covers throwing, catching, fielding, defense, base running, hitting, pitching and catching.  The instructors at these camps bring many years of coaching and teaching experience at a variety of levels.

Baseball and softball camps are open to boys and girls ages 4 through 12.  The registration fee for these 3-day camps is only $30 per player. Camps are split into divisions: AA – Tball (4-6 yr olds), AAA – Machine/Coach Pitch (7-8 yr olds), Majors – Kid Pitch (9-12 yr olds).

Space is limited.  Each camp accepts only 15 campers per division.  Yukon Parks and Recreation provides baseballs and softballs.  Campers should bring their own gloves, bats, batting helmets, and shoes and come dressed to play.

Parks and Recreation is one of Yukon’s best departments. Optimism, energy and opportunity inspire the best in everything we do.  To learn more about Yukon’s best, visit www.yukonok.gov or call 405-350-8920.
