Yukon Author Presents New Book at Mabel C. Fry Public Library
Yukon author L. Kay Adams presents her debut book The Gift at a come-and-go book signing on Saturday, April 14, from 2 pm to 4 pm. All proceeds from the signing will go to Gateway Women's Resource Center. The book, based on personal experience, aims to inspire and encourage teenage mothers and those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
“It has been very difficult to step out and share my story,” said Adams. “But after much prayer and obeying God, I laid my fear down and wrote The Gift. My hope is that when anyone reads this book, they find real love in this fiction romance novel inspired by real events.”
“It will inspire and challenge anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy, and my hope is to encourage and lift them up while pointing them to Jesus,” she continues. “God turned what the world says is negative into a positive! My husband and I we’re just kids when I was facing an unplanned pregnancy. I don’t want to make light of what we have been through. It has not been easy, but by God’s grace we are still married after thirty-two years and raised three amazing sons.”
All events are free to the public. No registration is required for this come-and-go book signing.
