Utility Bill Ambulance Subscription Offered to Yukon Citizens
The City of Yukon is pleased to announce that, starting immediately, citizens may subscribe to ambulance services through their utility bill.
The membership program is offered through Yukon’s new ambulance service, Samaritan EMS. Membership subscriptions approximately cover out-of-pocket ambulance expenses, such as insurance co-pays and deductibles.
The fee is $3.65 per month and will appear on participants’ monthly utility bill through February 2018. Participation continues until the new 2018 enrollment period is announced next year. At that time, those citizens may choose to continue membership for another year or opt-out.
The program is only available to Yukon citizens who are City of Yukon utility customers. The fee covers an emergency transport by Samaritan EMS ambulance service for any person living in the “subscriber” household.
To enroll, complete an enrollment form, which can be found here, and return to the City of Yukon’s Utility Billing Department no later than Monday, May 22.
“It is our hope that this will assist our citizens with the cost of emergency medical transport. We are thrilled to partner with Samaritan to offer this convenient service, along with the addition of two ambulances dedicated to Yukon,” said Jim Crosby, Manager of the City of Yukon.
