US Fleet Tracking Micro Jet Highlights 2018 Touch a Truck
Yukon Parks and Recreation opens the 2018 Friday Fun Day schedule with Touch A Truck, and this year features a US Fleet Tracking Micro Jet! Touch A Truck is an up close and personal, hands on look at a wide variety of trucks and other exciting vehicles. This FREE event will be held June 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma Parking lot in Chisholm Trail Park.
Highlighting the event this year is a US Fleet Tracking Micro Jet. The US Fleet Tracking's Microjet is a high performance, aerobatic, single seat, low-wing, all metal, jet-powered aircraft built from an amateur homebuilder kit. “The World’s Smallest Jet” quickly earned a reputation as James Bond’s jet when it was featured in the movie “Octopussy.”
Pilot Justin Lewis will fly over the event at 10:30 a.m. He will pass over twice, and attendees will hear his radio conversation on the ground.
In addition to the Micro Jet, kids of all ages are welcome to come see a wide variety of interesting and exciting vehicles. Some of the vehicles schedule to appear this year: City of Yukon Police Car, City of Yukon Fire Truck, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Mobile Command Center, and much more!
Friday Fun Days are held each Friday at 10:00 a.m. throughout the summer, except for July 6. For more information on this event, please call the Jackie Cooper Gym at 350-8920 or Yukon Community Center at 354-8442.
