POP YOUR PROPOSAL AMID 4 MILLION CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
If you plan to pop the question this Christmas, surprise your special someone with a romantic proposal amid 4 million glowing Christmas lights at Yukon’s ‘Christmas in the Park.’
‘Christmas in the Park’ features a “Will You Marry Me?” sign that is available to couples who plan to tie the knot. A giant heart of red LED lights surrounds white letters that spell out “Will You Marry Me?”. It measures 16 feet tall and is 12 feet wide. Couples can park their car, walk to the sign area and, at the opportune time, a park attendant will flip the switch so the proposer can pop the question!
To use the sign, the proposer simply needs to schedule a time for a park attendant to flip the switch. For more information and to use the sign, contact Chuck Hauck at 405-318-6130.
Yukon’s ‘Christmas in the Park’ is Oklahoma’s premiere Christmas lights display. It is a beautiful presentation of 4 million lights and over 425 one of a kind displays. Motorists drive through nearly three miles of illuminated paths through 100 acres of rolling park acres that are decorated top to bottom in festive Christmas décor. It is open 6 to 11 p.m. every night from Saturday, Nov. 19, through New Year’s Eve. Many people park their cars and take a leisurely self-guided tour along the 2.2 miles of walking trails.
Rides on the Santa Express Train are offered every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting. Tickets are $2 per person at the train depot located inside Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W Vandament. Children under three can ride the train for free. The train loops through Christmas displays and travels through a decorated tunnel.
Tour admission is FREE, and donations which help fund the annual event are merrily accepted at Chisholm Trail Park.
