Parks and Recreation Winter Fitness Classes Continue at Jackie Cooper Gym
Yukon Parks and Recreation offers fitness classes to get your year off to a fresh start. YoPila and Muscle Toning Classes help you get in touch with your body, build symmetry, coordination and personal awareness. The second session of classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 6 through March 1 at Jackie Cooper Gym, 1024 E. Main Street.
YoPila class starts at 9:00 a.m. This class combines a precise series of Yoga and Pilates exercises designed to build strength, stability, flexibility and balance. Bring your mat and have fun while strengthening opposing muscle groups, increasing joint and spine health, and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol!
Muscle Toning and Strengthening class starts at 10:15 a.m. This class is designed to help increase bone density, muscular strength and endurance, as well as develop lean muscle mass. Bring your 5 lb. weights, burn calories, and get fit and strong!
Classes are $25 each per month or $35 for both per month. Join NETA Certified Instructor Jerri Ellis and enjoy feeling healthy and strong in a fun environment!
