Parks and Recreation Announces Summer Fitness Classes
Yukon Parks and Recreation is proud to offer fitness classes to get you fit and healthy this summer. YoPila and Muscle Toning Classes help you get in tune with your body and build symmetry, coordination and personal awareness. The first session of classes takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays June 5 through June 28 at First Church of the Nazarene, 525 E. Main Street.
YoPila starts at 9:00 a.m. Get in touch with your inner self while strengthening your core and gaining flexibility, balance and coordination. This class offers an excellent combination of Yoga and Pilates in a fun, laid back environment with health benefits of strengthening opposing muscle groups, increasing joint and spine health, and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Bring your mat and experience all of the great health benefits this class has to offer.
Muscle Toning and Strengthening class starts at 10:15 a.m. Bring your 5 pound weights and enjoy the benefits of increasing bone density, muscular strength and endurance, as well as developing lean muscle mass.
Classes are $25 each per month or $35 for both per month. Join NETA Certified Instructor Jerri Ellis and enjoy feeling healthy and strong in a fun environment!
