Parks and Recreation Announces May Fitness Classes At Jackie Cooper Gym
Yukon Parks and Recreation is offering fitness classes to get you fit and healthy this summer! YoPila and Muscle Toning Classes help you get in tune with your body, build symmetry, coordination and personal awareness.
The fourth session of classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 1through May 24 at Jackie Cooper Gym, 1024 E. Main Street.
YoPila class starts at 9:00 a.m. Get in touch with your inner self while strengthening your core, gaining flexibility, balance and coordination. This class offers an excellent combination of Yoga and Pilates in a fun, laid back environment. Health benefits include strengthening opposing muscle groups, increasing joint and spine health, and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Bring your mat and join in for all of the great health benefits this class has to offer.
Muscle Toning and Strengthening class starts at 10:15 a.m. Bring your 5 pound weights and enjoy the benefits of increasing bone density, muscular strength and endurance, as well as developing lean muscle mass.
Classes are $25 each per month or $35 for both per month. Join NETA Certified Instructor Jerri Ellis and feel healthy and strong in a fun environment!
