Oklahoma Author Visits Mabel C. Fry Public Library
The Mabel C. Fry Public Library is pleased to welcome Oklahoma author John J. Dwyer on Tuesday, September 26, at 7:00 pm. Read Dwyer’s latest historical fiction novel, Shortgrass, and discuss it with the author himself. The novel follows a young Oklahoma man at the brink of World War II. The library has multiple copies of the book to borrow, however you do not need to read the book to attend. Dwyer will answer questions for those in attendance.
An exciting door prize will also be drawn for at this program.
This program is a part of the Build a Better World Adult Fall Reading program. The five-week program features free weekly events and reading bingo. Participants can sign up for reading bingo at the front desk of the library. Participants receive a book bag, pen, and a bookmark along with their bingo sheet. Any participant that achieves a bingo receives a t-shirt and magnetic bookmark.
All of the Tuesday events are free to the public. Door prizes are awarded at each event. Registration is required and can be completed by coming by the library, calling 405-354-8232, or clicking here.
