The Santa Express Train offers a fun way to view beautiful Christmas lights during Yukon’s Christmas in the Park, and this year a new train is coming to town to keep up with the increased popularity of the ride!

Christmas in the Park is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. every night from Saturday, Nov. 19 through New Year’s Eve.

The new train comes to Christmas in the Park from Oklahoma City Zoo.  It features three cars, one that has a mechanical lift that makes it fully accessible.  So bring your blanket and hot chocolate and enjoy an enchanting ride on the Santa Express!

The Santa Express loops through a beautiful wonderland of holiday displays.  Santa Express rides are available every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $2 per person, weather permitting.  Children under age three ride for FREE!  Tickets may be purchased at the Train Depot at Chisholm Trail Park. Parking is available in the Oklahoma Parking Lot, which is near the park entrance.

Christmas in the Park includes tours of Yukon City Park, 2200 S Holly, Freedom Trail Playground, 2101 S Holly and Chisholm Trail Park.  Motorists drive their personal vehicles along illuminated paths to view the three interconnected parks lavishly decorated top to bottom with 5 million twinkling lights and over 425 one-of-a-kind displays.  Many displays are animated, change in color and play music.  Admission is FREE and donations, which help fund the annual event, are merrily accepted.

Each of the three parks comprising the annual event offers unique displays that collectively create an amazing holiday experience you will never forget!  Various costumed Christmas characters are often in the parks and are happy to pose for photos.
