Mabel C. Fry Public Library Offers Thousands of Audiobooks through OneClickdigital
Don’t have time to “read” a book? Mabel C. Fry Public Library offers over 7,000 quality downloadable e-audiobooks for children, teens and adults through OneClickdigital from Recorded Books. The e-audios can be downloaded to iPhone and Android apps, as well as a portable player.
“The library has had the OneClickdigital top 200 titles for adults for several years,” said Sara Schieman, Librarian. “The accessibility of downloadable books is a service our members like. The opportunity for us to add more genres and authors for our adults, as well as the multitude of children and teen books was too promising to pass up.”
The children’s collection has over 600 titles, including Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, as well as the Roscoe Riley Rules series by Katherine Applegate. There are also over 100 beginning reader titles including the EllRay Jakes books by Sally Warner and the Mr. Putter and Tabby books by Cynthia Rylant. The library has the physical books of many of these titles so children can listen to the e-audios while they read along.
Young adults (6-12 grade students) can enjoy listening to over 650 books ranging from Melissa De la Cruz’s Blue Bloods series to John Flanagan’s Ranger’s Apprentice series, as well as titles by Gary Paulsen, Anthony Horowitz, Brian Jacques and more.
The adult titles cover everything from biographies and memoirs (176 titles) to westerns (260 titles). If it is mysteries you love, there are 840 titles for you to choose from, and if inspirational fiction is your cup of tea, there are over 500 titles to listen to.
In addition to the multitude of current titles already available to Mabel C. Fry Public Library members, 40 new titles will be added every quarter. The new titles for May have arrived.
