Libraries ROCK! Painting Program
Teens: head to the library for a rocking rock painting party! Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to Mabel C. Fry Public Library on June 21 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to express their creativity and paint rocks that can be hidden around Yukon for others to find. All materials will be provided for this free program, although participants may bring their own rocks if they prefer.
Young adults who haven't already signed up for a free "Libraries Rock" reading log and tote bag can do so before or after the event. Two prize packs are drawn from those who have logged reading hours. Winners need not be present to collect the reading prizes.
The “Libraries Rock” Young Adult Summer Reading Program is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Sonic, America's Drive-in, and sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
