Extreme Animals at Mabel C Fry Public Library
Kangaroos, parrots, and lemurs, oh my! Extreme Animals will be back on September 29th at 7pm, and this time it is the adults’ turn to join in the fun! Meet animal athletes face-to-face in this wild program.
Extreme Animals is a part of the Adult Fall Reading Program at Mabel C Fry Public Library. There are two parts to the program. First, you can read books to win prizes. Simply stop by the library to pick up your free book bag, pedometer, and reading log. Reading participants set their own reading and activity goals by selecting a number of pages and steps they think they can complete in 8 weeks. Participants receive prizes when they reach the half-way point in their goal and their full goal. In addition to reading, free hour-long events are offered every Thursday at 7 pm beginning September 15, all centered on the Exercise Your Mind. Read! theme. The fall reading program is open to adults ages 18 and up.
All Thursday events are free to the public. Registration is required and can be completed by coming by the library, calling 405-354-8232, or going to www.mabelcfrypubliclibrary.com, and clicking on “Adult Programs."
