Drought-Proof Your Lawn at Mabel C. Fry Public Library
Finishing out Mabel C. Fry Public Library’s Adult Fall Reading program is a program that teaches how to make gardens and lawns more resistant to the Oklahoma heat and dry spells. Courtney Keck with the Canadian County OSU Extension office will present Building Better Gardens, a practical guide to creating drought tolerant landscapes on Tuesday, October 10, at 7:00 pm.
This program is a part of the Build a Better World Adult Fall Reading program. The five-week program features free weekly events and reading bingo. Participants sign up for reading bingo at the front desk of the library. Participants receive a book bag, pen, and a bookmark along with their bingo sheet. Any participant that achieves a bingo receives a t-shirt and magnetic bookmark.
These events are free to the public. Door prizes are awarded at each event. Registration is required and can be completed by coming by the library, calling 405-354-8232, or going to www.mabelcfrypubliclibrary.com and clicking on “Programs."
