Concert in the Park Series Continues with Champ Devere, Carnival Night
You’ll enjoy some great original country music this Thursday at one of Yukon’s favorite traditions! Concerts in the Park continues with country music from the energetic band, Champ Devere. This band promises to bring an exciting night of entertainment to Chisholm Trail Park August 1 at 7 p.m.! Don’t miss this FREE summer event!
Champ Devere’s reputation for energetic live performances has landed them numerous television and radio appearances, including the hit reality show "Can You Duet" on CMT. Their original songs have been popular on multiple radio stations.
With upbeat rockin' original songs, bluesy, honky-tonk style, and ballads, Champ Devere has created their own form of "country meets rock" that has positioned themselves quite uniquely in the music scene, and have been similarly compared to and in the vein of bands and artists like JT Hodges, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Eric Church, High Valley, Love & Theft, Montgomery Gentry, Big and Rich, Jason Aldean, and Brantley Gilbert, while keeping that rockin' country style that is all their own.
In addition to the concert, Parks and Recreation is hosting a carnival night just for kids. Be sure to bring your kids out for plenty of fun carnival games and great music!
Concerts in the Park concludes on August 8 with Motown/Soul music from Smilin’ Vic and the Soul Monkeys and “Bark at the Park” night. Bring your dog at 6:30 p.m. for registration, then the contests start at 7 pm. This special night also features $1 hot dogs and a howling good time!
