COVID-19 Case at Yukon Community Center, Closed for Cleaning
The City of Yukon received test results today (Thursday, November 12) that confirm a Yukon Community Center employee tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who tested positive last reported to work on November 9. The employee is currently recovering at home.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Yukon Community Center will be closed until at least Monday, November 23, for sanitization. On November 23, staff will reevaluate the situation and decide whether to open again or wait longer. The City is requiring that the infected employee refrain from coming to work for at least 14 days.
The City is closely monitoring the situation and will take necessary actions to protect its residents and employees.
The safety and health of our residents and employees is our top priority. The City of Yukon is following medical protocols from national and local health authorities and has implemented staff guidelines in relation to social distancing and hygiene.
