City of Yukon Issues July 2 Update to Declaration of Emergency
The City of Yukon has updated their declaration of emergency to include requirements and recommendations for high-risk activities that are intended to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Mayor Shelli Selby signed the update on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
The following guidelines are effective at noon on Saturday, July 4, 2020:
- All employees of restaurants and bars are required to wear masks.
- Bar capacities are to be lowered to 50 percent.
- Any venue with theater-style seating is required to use staggered seating, either by closure of every other row or the functional equivalent, with at least two seats between separate parties.
To further help reduce the spread, the City of Yukon is requiring all employees and the public to wear masks while in City buildings.
The City of Yukon intends to follow the remaining guidelines for other types of businesses and public access to other facilities as outlined in the state’s Open Up and Recover Safely (OURS) plan.
