One of Yukon’s favorite traditions is back! The Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents the ‘Sounds of the Season’ holiday concert on Thursday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m.
General admission tickets are $5 and are on sale now at the Yukon Community Center, 2200 S Holly; Jackie Cooper Gym, 1024 E. Main; the Dale Robertson Center, 1200 Lakeshore Drive; as well as all YNB locations. Cash or checks (made out to the City of Yukon) are accepted. General admission tickets may also be purchased online.
Reserved seating tickets are $10 and only available at the Dale Robertson Center, while supplies last. Due to the popularity of the reserved tickets, they are limited to 6 per person.
This year’s concert will be a NEW special holiday program that the OKC Philharmonic has lovingly prepared specifically for Yukon. Featuring Mandy Jiran, Vince Leseney, Susan Powell, and members of Canterbury Voices. For more information about these artists please click here.
Conductor Alexander Mickelthwate is the Music Director of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany, Alexander received his formal training from the Peabody Institute of Music. Following tenures as Assistant Conductor with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Associate Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Alexander served as Music Director of the Winnipeg Symphony for 12 years before joining the OKCPHIL in 2018.
The Sounds of the Season concert is hosted by the City of Yukon. It is made possible by generous sponsors who fund the event and make the very affordable ticket price possible.
